Also Dr Azad gave me my perscription in a 20mg tablet and a 2 packs of 10mg tablets incase I got too many side affects I could go back to 30mg.

Roaccutane - Day 17
Roaccutane Day 17 - Saturday 11th 2012
I think my skin looks quite bad (because of spots) but it's not to dry. My lips are still dry which can be annoying and distracting because they can start to flake then you just want to peel it off which can be painful and make them bleed.
Roaccutane - Day 16
Roaccutane Day 16 - Friday 10th August 2012
My lips don't feel as dry but they are still sore. My eyebrows aren't dry anymore. Today I was really, really tired and slept a lot. I was a bit achy.

Roaccutane Day 10 - Saturday 4th 2012
I've got a few spots around my hairline. My bottom lip is quiet dry and I have a spot on my cheek. I never get spots on my cheek but apparently it's normal for you to get spots all over your face.

Roaccutane - day 7
Roaccutane Day 7 - Wednesday 1st August 2012

My lips are dry and they probably will be dry for a long time now. :(
Roaccutane - Day 6
Roaccutane Day 6 - Tuesday 31st July 2012
I had my tablets and the skin around my lips is getting a bit dry (red and sore looking), although they are gettig slightly dry, they aren't painful.
The moisturiser that the dermotologist gave me is quite awkward stuff because it came in a big tub. I couldn't fit it in my pocket or take it with me anywhere so I have bought some vaseline in a tub so I can take that out of the house with me.
Roaccutane - Day 5
Roaccutane day 5 - Monday 30th July 2012
Today I had my tablets and I had to side affects.
From what I've seen of other peoples experiences and diarys, the first 2 months are the worst, so far I'm doing good, but that could be because I'm on such a low doseage
Roaccutane - Day 4
Roaccutane Day 4 - Sunday 29th July 2012`
Today I woke up, had my breakfast and took my tablets. I keep applying my moisturisers whenever I can. I went to work and again tried to drink as much water as possible.
I had no side affects today!:)
Roaccutane - Day 3
Roaccutane - Day 3 Saturday 28th July 2012
Today I had my breakfast, tablets and went to work. I felt fine at work and I made sure I drank lots of water. The Dr advised that I drink about a liter of water.

Roaccutane - Day 2
Roaccutane Day 2 - Friday 27th July 2012
Today I woke up and had my breakfast and took my tablets. The Dr said it would be best to have food before I take my tablets and try to have them at roughly the same time every day. I applied my moisturising cream samples that were given to me by the doctors. They're listed below...
For my face: AriPro Hydrating Mousse. It's a light, non-greasy foam.
For my lips: Hydromol ointment. Thick, greasy.

Roaccutane day 1
Day 1: Thursday 6th July 2012
Today I had my blood tests done and was given my months prescription of roaccutane. I have been given a 6 month course (which is the longest course you can have!) I'm on 30mg a day, I have been given a 20mg tablet and a 10mg tablet both to be taken daily. No side affects today! :)
Feel free to ask questions :)
Roaccutane - introduction
So I'm Catherine and I'm 14 from the UK. I have quite a few spots on my forehead so I decided to take the tablet called Roaccutane. Im going to use this blog everyday to update people on how I am dealing with side affects I may have. The side affects can be quite serious but they are rare, common ones are dry skin, dry lips and tiredness.
When I decided to go on roaccutane I went through a company called 'Sk:n'. I had to have a meeting with a dermatologist and she explained everything. I also had to sign I piece of paper to say I would get an abortion if I got pregnant (but I'm only 14 so that's not going to happen!) the dermatologist also said I had to have a blood test (so they can work out how much medication to give me) and a pregnancy test. You only get a blood test done once and the pregnancy test is done every month.
My parents decided that we should go private so I could start the treatment soon. I started the treatment within a week of me deciding to go on Roaccutane and if we went NHS I would have to wait until September to start. Yes, going private is alot more expensive but we just want it to be done. For my first perscription (of 30mg) it cost about £50.
It's quite hard for Me and my mam because we have to travel over 2 hours to get to the hospital for the pregnancy test and to pick up my prescription just because it has to be done by specialist people and the one closest to us happens to be 2 hours away unfortunately, I will also end up missing a few days off school because I have to go during school hours.
Okay, so if any of that made sense then that's good! If you have any questions just ask! :)
